The variety and beauty of their orchids is almost overwhelming!!! So many special variants across all types of orchids. We had 6 plants shipped to Texas, and not a single petal or flower was damaged. They are total pros. 8 months later and they are still healthy and flowering. HOT TIP: make a "smoothie" of water, cinnamon, garlic, and banana peel, let it sit overnight, then strain it, dillute it until it's semi-transparent, and give the orchids a 5-minute soak in it. Cinnamon - acts as a drying agent (no root rot) and disease control Garlic - antifungal, antibacterial Banana - loads of potassium and phosphorus Watch them thrive!

Got this on my second trip to this nursery. This nursery will have some real diamonds in the ruff you just have to search. The showroom has all kinds of orchids, Hoyas and air plants. They also have all types of bark to mount your pants and other plant supplies. Well worth the drive just wear shoes and watch your step!

I live in Massachusetts and sent my Mom a birthday gift - she lives in Honolulu. The live orchid plants were gorgeous and were even nicer than what I was expecting! My mom was Soooo Happy! It was easy to order online & delivery was included. I highly recommend and will most likely use them again in the future. Mahalo! You made her 86th birthday special🩷

I ordered an orchid plant and it was delivered on time and with great care. I looked at other florists and nurseries for a potted orchid plant in a nice ceramic pot that wasn’t too expensive. Average price for one orchid plant in a ceramic pot was too expensive (over $150) for my budget. I was feeling defeated when I came across Kawamoto Orchid Nursery. The price was perfect, just right for a single orchid plant potted with green foliage, moss and a decorative butterfly in an elegant ceramic pot. The best part was the delivery fee was included in the price! I couldn’t believe it, I thought I had misread the final price, most places were charging average $20 extra for delivery! My friend sent me a photo upon delivery, it was beautiful! Thank you, Kawamoto Orchid Nursery!

Orchids and air plants … if you’re in search of either on Oahu, this is the place! Located deep in Palolo, the nursery is has different levels and the lower ones can be steep to get to but the main level has more than enough plants to suit most needs. Prices are extremely reasonable compared to what you see at the big box home goods stores or even other commercial nurseries - $2-$3 for Tillandsia that typically go for $7-$8 elsewhere, for instance. The orchids, however, are the show stoppers and it’s worth the drive just to see the many flowering varieties they have. I didn’t realize orchids can be fragrant until I stepped inside their showroom! In addition to the many potted varieties, they also sell many types of hanging varieties. Worth the drive just to see the orchids!
